Lighthouse Bible Fellowship is a Christ-centered church united for the glory of God, who meet for the preaching of the Word, worship and fellowship so that the saints may be equipped for the work of the ministry and be edified in loving Christian relationships; who will go out as salt and light to help fulfill the Great Commission of making disciples in our community and the world.
We hold the truths that: (1) The inerrant Scripture is the sole source of written divine revelation, which alone can bind the conscience. (2) Our salvation is accomplished by the mediatorial work of the historical Christ alone. (3) In salvation we are rescued from God’s wrath by His grace alone. (4) Justification is by grace alone through faith alone because of Christ alone. In justification Christ’s righteousness is imputed to us as the only possible satisfaction of God’s perfect justice. (5) Because salvation is of God and has been accomplished by God, it is for God’s glory.
Believing that God’s truth is to get into our lives and change us, LBF desires to maintain the proper balance between preaching sound doctrine and applying it so we can walk in a manner worthy of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And in seeking the tried and true paths of Holy Scripture we endeavor to “keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace,” by Christ’s enabling grace.
Without the fifteen characteristics of agape Christian love in 1Corinthians 13:4-7, all our preaching and disciple-making is in vain. The Apostle Paul makes it clear in verses 1-3 that if we have the most extraordinary gift of ecstatic speech, or prophecy, of faith, of philanthropy and of self-sacrifice and yet have not love, we are nothing.
